Comment: Many "gods" are mentioned throughout scripture, but are either references to the false gods and idols, or are ironic statements (in contrast to Mormonism's polytheistic doctrines.)
Comment: The doctrine of the Trinity is a synthesis of scriptural declarations that there is only one God, and yet that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are God. The fully-man/fully-God nature of Jesus is central to the trinitarian viewpoint.
Comment: Central to a biblical understanding of the Gospel is the acknowledgment that all of humanity is utterly sinful and completely undeserving of God's grace, and that no effort of our part is capable of contributing in the least to our eternal destiny.
